US rapper, Snoop Dogg was briefly arrested by Swedish police on suspicion of using illegal drugs, police sources said Sunday.
“Police carrying out roadside controls noticed that Snoop Dogg (whose car was pulled over) seemed to be under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested and taken to the police station to take a urine test,” said Daniel Nilsson, a police spokesman for the central Uppsala region.
It is far from the 43-year-old music star’s first brush with the law.
Snoop Dogg’s song lyrics often display his fondness for marijuana and he has previously had run-ins with police elsewhere over the drug.
According to sources, th arrest can also be linked to a clear case of racial profiling.
He made 5 videos in total stating the same thing, with some captions of FTP and said that he’ll never return to Sweden after this incident.
The incident occurred in Uppsala, Sweden, after a concert he performed in the city. However, police in Sweden say Snoop’s not in the clear.
He says Snoop showed signs of driving under the influence and it will take 2 weeks to get the test results back.
As for Snoops allegation of racial profiling, the spokesman said, “We don’t work like that in Sweden.”
