Nigeria incumbent  President, Muhammadu Buhari has been declared winner of the 2019 Presidential election by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on early hours of Wednesday. The Returning Officer for the 2019 presidential elections, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, made the declaration at 4.37am. He polled 15,191,847 votes to defeat his closest rival, former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presidential poll conducted on February 23 who had 11,262,978 votes.
